Magazine Reviews, Awards And Recognition For bewitched.net
(formerly http://www.erols.com/bewitchd)

We had no idea when we put up our http://www.erols.com/bewitchd web site in April 1996 that it would receive such positive attention by the print media as well as the online community. In May of 1996, we were chosen as a Yahoo! pick of the week, a very prestigious award at the time which was responsible for bringing many visitors to our site initially. See that page here.

  • A few months later in 1996, we got a call from one of the editors of The Washington Post asking if they could do a story about Wendy and our Bewitched web site for their glossy color "high tech" magazine. They came out and took photos of Wendy with her collection, and interviewed her about the site!

More magazines wrote us up, and all were found while browsing in the bookstore or by a fan mentioning they saw us in one (if you see us in one, don't forget to tell us!) We thank all the of publications who saw our site as worthy of these great reviews. See some samples below:

    NY Journal News 2000

  • June 2, 2000 - The New York Journal News from Westchester, Rockland and Putnam, NY thought our site was tres cool, even though they said "some people have too much time on their hands" (ya, I did, when I started the site, but I don't anymore!!) Thanks Liz for the nice coverage of the site in your paper :-)

    Screensavers

  • May 1999 - Leo & Kate showed our Bewitched site to the world when Joe was live on the popular ZDTV show "Screen Savers" with Kate Botello & Leo LaPorte (now G4 TV). Leo and Kate loved the site (see our main page on the screen with them looking at it, below right photo) and complimented us on how well done they thought it was. Ya, that's my Bewitched baseball cap he's wearing. See a video clip here. (1.9MB - 6 min DL @56k)

  • May 1999 - Arutz channel 7 radio near Jerusalem in Israel contacted me to do an interview about my Bewitched site May 6, 1999. Ron Ami Meir described how serious the radio in Israel is because of all the turmoil they are dealing with there, and he, as a radio announcer decided to "lighten things up" on the show he does by doing a few programs on old TV comedy shows. He thought it would lift people's spirits and serve as a pleasant distraction.
    Arutz 7 Radio

I thought that was a really nice idea, so consented to the interview. The show is in English and is called "Now Until Midnight". I left the first 6 minutes or so on before I came on so you could hear them take a call from a listener and talk a little about Bewitched. I also left on some Israeli music at the end (after the Bewitched theme) since it was so pretty. The interview took place at 2 AM, so if I sound a little tired, you'll know why! Biography

  • February 1999 - We helped the producers of A&E's Biography series make their show on Elizabeth Montgomery which aired Feb. 15, 1999. You will see our names in the credits under "Special Thanks" at the end of the show. It was a great honor to be asked to participate in the making of this great show! Below you will see a portion of the thank you letter we recently received.

    Luckman Interactive Award

Congratulations! It's not every day that stars fall out of the sky. In fact, that kind of thing is bound to hurt someone. Nonetheless, we're dropping a few stars on your site for its excellence. Of the more than 250,000 Web sites that we've checked out, our editors believe that your site should be publicly recognized as a Five-Star winner.

In acknowledgement of your efforts, we have attached Luckman Interactive's Five-Star logo. This mark of excellence is something that we only bestow upon the finest sites on the Web. Put it on your site as a shining reward for your hard work. In addition to your Five-Star award, your site will be featured in the new edition of our book and interactive CD-ROM -- Luckman Interactive's "World Wide Web Yellow Pages." Our regularly updated guide to the Web was awarded another kind of Five-Star rating, from "PC Computing" (December, 1996). The magazine picked our product as one of only six Internet tools to receive its highest award. Currently, both our CD-ROM (distributed by TechData and Ingram) and our book versions (published by Barnes & Noble) have hit the bestseller lists.

    Again, congratulations.
    Sincerely,
    The Editors of Luckman Interactive
    Luckman Interactive, Inc.

Please note that this award goes specifically to the site at http://home.erols.com/bewitchd and not to any affiliated site, unless otherwise indicated.

    Cybergrill Award

    Hello,
We wanted to let you know that we chose your page as our "Fun Site of the Day" for today, April 15. Today was Elizabeth Montgomery's birthday, so your site was a natural! I especially like the sound file with today's date in it...was that real or did you create that?

Our list is mailed out weekdays to people who've subscribed to our Daily Lunch Specials (we're a cybercafe) and Fun Site of the Day mailing list. If you'd like, you can copy our "Fun Site" logo from this page and link back to our site. But, of course you don't have to. :-) Our page gets around 300 hits per day, so we hope that this award will help bring visitors to your site.
