ERIN MURPHY

Young Erin Murphy who plays Tabitha, the daughter of television's charming witch, Samantha, in Screen Gems' "Bewitched", already has TV audiences under her spell.

Erin and her twin sister Diane were born June 17, 1964 at West Valley Hospital in Encino, California. Diane is Five minutes older than Erin. When the twins were tiny look-a-likes they used to share the role of Tabitha, but now Erin plays the part while Diane acts as her double.

Following the birth of the twins, their mother gave up her job as a teacher to devote full time to the girls. Wherever she took them the twins drew attention. When a talent agent wanted to sign up the girls, Stephanie and Dan Murphy talked it over and agreed to give it a try.

Erin and Diane made their show business debut when they were a year old in a soap commercial. Their next commercial was with the future governor of California, Ronald Reagan.

In May of 1966, the Murphy's auditioned for the role of Tabitha and started in the series a few days before their second birthday.

Erin and Diane live in Woodland Hills, California where they attend the Pinecrest School. Next to acting, the girls like to ice skate, ride horseback, swim and roller-skate.
