SYNOPSIS

Samantha's Aunt Clara arrives on the Stephens' first anniversary with presents for Samantha and Darrin. Casting a spell to adjust a checkered cap she has given Darrin, Aunt Clara uses the wrong words and turns Darrin into a chimpanzee. Unable to remember how to remove the spell, Aunt Clara goes home to look for the formula. When Samantha leaves the house, Endora stays with Darrin. Darrin leaps out a window and runs into Gladys Kravitz. She takes the chimp back to her house. Soon after Aunt Clara comes with her book of magic, Samantha returns.

Samantha tells Aunt Clara she must find Darrin since her doctor has told her she is going to have a baby. Meanwhile, Gladys and Abner have turned Darrin over to the zoo, where he is caged with three other chimps. Samantha goes to the zoo. Then Aunt Clara arrives and turns Darrin back to his former self. Samantha is finally able to tell him that he is to be a father. Later, Gladys begins telling the Stephens about the chimpanzee. Suddenly realizing that Darrin is wearing the same outfit as the chimp, Gladys streaks back to her own house.

38. "A VERY SPECIAL DELIVERY" (9-23-65)

SYNOPSIS

Learning that he is about to become a father, Darrin waits on Samantha hand and foot. Then Larry Tate convinces him that all women would make a career out of having a baby if you allowed them to. He gives Darrin a book on the subject which states that the more active the mother, the happier she will be, and the healthier the child. Darrin returns home completely convinced. Endora is infuriated when she hears Darrin ordering Samantha to do chores around the house. The following day, Darrin wakes up with a backache. At an office lunch, he fights for extra pickles.

When Samantha learns of this, she faces up to her mother. Endora admits she has cast a spell over Darrin, but will do nothing to change the situation for the present. Darrin, discussing his plight at a bar, becomes obsessed with the idea that he is going to have a baby himself. Finally, Endora removes the spell and Darrin becomes completely attentive to Samantha once more. She agrees with Darrin's assertion that he is one man in a million who knows just how she feels.

39. "WE'RE IN FOR A BAD SPELL" (9-30-65)

SYNOPSIS

When strange things begin happening to Adam Newlarkin, a friend of Darrin's, Aunt Clara tells Samantha he has inherited the spell placed by a witch on his ancestor who was a judge in Salem two hundred years before. Aunt Clara adds that unless Adam follows the antidote for the spell strictly, he will be branded a thief. The Stephens learn that Adam has been hired by a local bank. Samantha and Darrin manage to get Adam to kiss a dog, the first step. With Aunt Clara's help, Darrin dunks Adam in a pool three times. They have trouble persuading him to ride through town shouting praise of witches, which is the final step.

However, finding his briefcase stuffed with money, Adam, a true native of Salem, believes he is under a spell. He mounts a horse and starts riding. Bank manager Abercrombie and a detective, having discovered the loss of seventy five thousand dollars, come to the Stephens home. Aunt Clara makes the money disappear from the briefcase. Abercrombie apologizes to Adam after learning that a bank employee has been taken into custody with the stolen cash.

40. "MY GRANDSON THE WARLOCK" (10-7-65)

SYNOPSIS

Phoning from London, the Tates inform the Stephens that their governess has been taken ill. They ask Darrin and Samantha to care for the child until they return. Gladys Kravitz sees them leaving the house and returning with a baby. Assuming the Stephens' baby has arrived, Gladys congratulates Maurice, Samantha's father, on the birth of his grandson. Maurice is shocked to find the baby is not being taught witchcraft. He flies away with the child to the Warlocks Club in London. Meanwhile the Tates arrive at the local airport. Darrin tries to stall while Samantha finds their baby. In London, after many tests, the Warlocks tell Maurice the baby "hasn't got it." Nanny witch adds that the baby is a mortal like the father.

At the Stephens' home, Samantha and Darrin are about to tell the Tates their baby is missing, when Maurice arrives with the child. Maurice's pride is restored when Samantha tells him her baby is not due for several months. Arriving with a present, Gladys is told to wait until Samantha's baby is born. Before vanishing through a wall, Maurice hands Gladys a giant martini. Watching Gladys down it, Samantha hopes she will not remember what she has seen and heard.

41. "THE JOKER IS A CARD" (10-14-65)

SYNOPSIS

Samantha arranges a meeting between Darrin and her mother which she hopes will settle their differences. A series of minor accidents sets Darrin and Endora accusing each other of being practical jokers. Realizing someone else is responsible, Samantha uncovers a serving dish and reveals her Uncle Arthur, who dotes on practical jokes. Infuriated by Darrin's uproarious appreciation of Uncle Arthur, Endora plants a Beatles hairdo on Darrin. Darrin refuses Uncle Arthur's offer to teach him some magic so he can stand up to Endora, until he is knocked out by an accident in the office. Certain Endora is at work, Darrin accepts Uncle Arthur's offer. Following Uncle Arthur's weird instructions, Darrin tries to make Endora disappear. When she does not, Darrin realizes he has been the victim of another of Uncle Arthur's pranks.

Samantha enlists Endora and Darrin in a plan to cure Uncle Arthur. Arthur is incredulous when Darrin says he can turn Endora into a parrot. When Endora becomes a parrot(through her own witchcraft) Arthur pleads with Darrin to remove the spell. Endora then returns to normal and demands that Arthur stop his practical jokes, which Uncle Arthur accepts. Before leaving, Uncle Arthur gives Endora a pair of opera glasses. When she lowers them she has two black eyes.

SYNOPSIS

While Howard Norton shows the Stephens a black Peruvian rose, Samantha tells Darrin she feels ill and has lost her witchcraft. The doctor tells Samantha that her health is perfect. Gladys sees the doctor's car and brings some chicken soup. When square green spots appear on Samantha's face, Abner is sure the chicken soup is responsible. Aunt Clara arrives and lists the ingredients for a remedy. Darrin buys all the ingredients, except an ostrich feather, from Mr.Trigby, who caters to witches.

Trying to take the ostrich feather from a woman's hat, Darrin is arrested but later released. Aunt Clara, after using witchcraft to produce an ostrich, tells Darrin she still needs four petals from a black Peruvian rose. Darrin is arrested when he tries to steal the petals from Mr. Norton's precious bloom. Finally, Aunt Clara concocts the remedy and cures Samantha. Later, Mr. Norton is astonished when he sees a window box filled with black Peruvian roses Samantha has produced by twitching her nose.

SYNOPSIS

Despite Endora's demand that Samantha accompany her to a witches celebration of Halloween, Darrin insists that his wife remain at home to entertain Louise and Larry Tate, Jack Rogers, a client, and his wife, Phyllis. Disguising herself as a child in gypsy costume, Endora hexes Darrin with a spell which will gradually turn him into a werewolf. When Samantha demands that her mother remove the spell, Endora tells her she can't remember the words. After the guests arrive, Darrin is forced to go out of the room from time to time to shave off the werewolf hair which is beginning to grow all over him. Finally, when dinner arrives, Darrin starts snarling and jumps through an open window. Larry and Jack, sure that Darrin is in werewolf costume, bring him back into the house.

Darrin, fearful of what he might do, gets Samantha to lock him in the hall closet. Endora reappears in a high fashion evening gown. When Samantha tells her she is behaving exactly like the stereotype of a witch she hates so much, Endora returns Darrin to his normal self. Later, Jack,, certain that Endora is also garbed for Halloween, compliments her on her bizarre outfit. Endora gestures, and a lion's tail appears an Jack. Endora tells Darrin Jack won't notice it until he tries to remove his trousers.

SYNOPSIS

Larry Tate invites Samantha and Darrin to a buffet for prospective client Charles Barlow. When they complain about the condition of their clothes, Aunt Clara uses magic to produce a dress for Samantha and a new suit for Darrin. Darrin invites her along to the affair. Aunt Clara removes a fire hydrant so Darrin can park. At the party, Samantha's dress begins to vanish and Aunt Clara's other magical efforts begin to disintegrate. Agreeing to drop Barlow at his hotel, Darrin finds the hydrant has returned to its place beside the car. As a policeman approaches, Darrin's outer garments disappear. Aunt Clara's efforts to help result in chaos, with Barlow, Darrin and the policeman dressed in each others clothing.

Barlow leaves, vowing Darrin will never get his account, and still in his underwear, Darrin is jailed with Montague, an alcoholic. After Aunt Clara's attempts to clothe Darrin fail, Samantha goes to his cell with a suit of, clothes. When Judge Crosetti hears Montague's mad account of a change of clothing in the cell, he releases Darrin. Larry Tate, having heard Barlow's equally wild story, decides his company is not interested in handling his account.

SYNOPSIS

Dr. Passmore, psychiatrist at a rest home, tells Samantha his patients would like to do something to mark the Centennial of the End of the War Between the States. Samantha tells him Darrin will publicize the affair. Annoyed, Darrin tells Passmore Samantha will write a script for the pageant. Darrin criticizes Samantha's wooden characters. Taking Endora's advice, Samantha uses magic to bring her characters to life, so she can describe them. Soon Confederate Captain Corcoran, Violet, a beautiful Yankee, and an Indian, added for a neutral touch, are wandering around the Stephens' home. Seeing them, Gladys Kravitz flips.

When Darrin arrives, the characters refuse to leave. However, they vanish when Darrin kisses Samantha. Gladys tells her story to Passmore. He prescribes for her, but seeing the characters himself, decides he needs a vacation. When Samantha's writing comes to a halt, Corcoran, Violet and the Indian finish the script themselves and leave. After the pageant, Samantha is asked to create a vaudeville revue for the rest home. Two song and dance men appear. Gladys sees them and runs screaming into the night. Samantha tells Darrin she'll need lots of love to keep the hoofers away.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin is struggling to create an advertising campaign for a toy ship model manufactured by Mr. Harding. When Samantha wonders whether the Stephens' baby will look like his father, Endora turns Darrin into an eight year old. Returned to normal, Darrin goes to his office. Samantha repeats a disparaging remark Darrin made about Endora. Piqued, Endora turns Darrin into a boy at his office. Mr. Harding sees Darrin and compliments Larry on hiring a child to devise a campaign for a toy. Samantha uses magic to return Darrin to normal size but is called on time after time to change him from man to boy when Harding insists on having a joint meeting with Darrin and the boy.

Finally, as a child, Darrin meets two boys who tell him the ship model is no good because it can't do anything. As Darrin, the man, persuades Harding and Larry to make the changes suggested by the two boys, Samantha, gratefully produces a kite for each. When Darrin tells her he'd like to join them, Samantha replies he'll have his own son to play with soon.

SYNOPSIS

Aunt Clara tells Samantha and Endora she is hiding from warlock Hedley Partridge, because she fears her old beau will discover her magic no longer works. Seeing in Hedley a husband for Aunt Clara, who has become a problem, Endora invites him to the Stephens home. Samantha decides to make sure Aunt Clara's tricks work. Unaware of this, Aunt Clara is sure her gift is returned when she matches all of Hedley's tricks. When Samantha goes out of the room, Aunt Clara tries to follow Hedley's romantic suggestion that they turn themselves into nightingales, but Hedley becomes an animal, while Aunt Clara's lower half disappears.

Gladys Kravitz, who has become hysterical watching the strange happenings, drags Abner over to the Stephens house. When Samantha returns Aunt Clara and Hedley to normal, Aunt Clara is crushed to learn that Samantha helped her all along. Gladys skeptically accepts Abner's explanation that Hedley's magic was performed with the aid of wires. Aunt Clara and Hedley each admit that none of their tricks work as well as they used to. Promising to return, Hedley leaves. Aunt Clara tells Samantha his parting gift, a rhinestone doorknob, is more precious than an engagement ring.

SYNOPSIS

Walter and Margaret Brocken ask Samantha to keep their son Merle, a ten year old warlock while they attend a witches convention. When Merle agrees not to do any magic before Darrin, Samantha invites him to stay. Meanwhile, Larry Tate asks Darrin to keep an expensive necklace, a birthday present for his wife, at the Stephens home. Darrin goes to Merle's room, where the young warlock has turned a hairbrush into a model fire engine, which flashes with electric shocks when Darrin touches it. Darrin shouts with pain until Merle turns off the current. Samantha is now forced to disclose that Merle is a warlock. Merle again promises Samantha to refrain from magic in the house.

That night, a burglar who had seen Larry giving Darrin the necklace breaks in and overpowers Darrin. Darrin calls on Merle for a magical assist, but Merle stands by his promise. When the burglar finds the necklace, Darrin cons him into taking the fire engine too. As he reaches for it, Merle turns on his magic. Later, Gladys is more bewildered than ever as she hears the burglar explaining to the police how he was captured by a toy fire engine.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin tells Endora he is sure Larry Tate wouldn't let him attend a wedding out of town with Samantha. Darrin is annoyed when Endora suggests changing Larry into an inanimate object. Later, after getting Larry's permission to take Samantha and Darrin to the wedding, Endora learns that Larry has been unable to find a teddy bear for his son, and brings one to his office. When Darrin, who is working up a campaign to sell honey for Mr. Harper, sees the toy, he is sure it is Larry. Watching Darrin talking to the teddy bear, Harper concludes he is dealing with a madman. Meanwhile, Louise comes to the office. Having bought another teddy bear, she takes the one Darrin has entrusted to the receptionist and returns it to the toy shop.

Rushing out with Samantha, Darrin buys thirty four toy bears when he is unable to decide which one Louise returned, and takes them home. When Darrin accuses Endora of turning Larry into a teddy bear, she makes one fall apart. Darrin feels she has done away with Larry. As Darrin tries to prepare Louise for the worst, Larry walks in. As Darrin apologizes to Endora, he realizes the nodding bears would make a great ad for Harper's honey. Using her witchcraft, Samantha keeps Harper from leaving town before Darrin reaches him.

SYNOPSIS

Endora tells Samantha there would be instant chaos if human beings, including Darrin, were to tell the truth. Later, Endora delivers a statuette to Darrin's office. Everyone coming within its range, except Samantha, is forced to tell the truth. The statuette causes several eruptions between Darrin, his secretary and Larry Tate. Things really break wide open at the Stephens home when Louise and Larry Tate arrive with agency client, Ed Hotchkiss and his wife, Frances. Darrin begins criticizing Ed's ability to create ad campaigns. Larry himself is surprised when he joins in. Louise, tired of listening to her husband's stories of how he worked his way up from nothing, tells him her father set him up in business. A verbal battle is going strong when dinner is served.

The next morning Samantha learns that the statuette was responsible for the truth session. By this time Darrin is sure he has lost his job and the agency an important client. Then his boss arrives to ask for an apology from Darrin. Moving into the range of the statuette, Larry tells Darrin the Hotchkiss's were glad for the donnybrook which cleared up a lot of old misunderstandings. After Larry agrees to give Darrin a raise and full responsibility for the Hotchkiss account, Endora admits that sometimes good comes from the truth.

SYNOPSIS

A pregnant Samantha recalls her first Christmas with her husband, Darrin. Seven year old Tommy, who lives in an orphanage, is happy to spend Christmas with Gladys and Abner Kravitz. Six year old Michael, also an orphan, derides Tommy's belief in Santa Claus. When Samantha and Darrin bring him home for the holidays, their efforts to get Michael to share in the festivities of the season fail. After Michael admits be would believe in Santa Claus if he really existed, Samantha takes Michael and Darrin on her broomstick to the North Pole, where Michael meets Santa Claus. Later, back at home, Darrin and Michael awake. Although both feel they have dreamed the trip, Michael now believes in Santa Claus.

Gladys overhears Michael tell Tommy he has met Santa Claus. When she tries to pin Tommy down, he denies that Michael ever mentioned it. Mrs. Grange, the director of the orphanage, comes to the Stephens home with George and Sarah Johnson. At the Kravitz home, both Gladys and Abner, who are about to return Tommy to the orphanage, express their wish to have someone like Tommy permanently. When Michael leaves with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Samantha and Darrin know Michael has found two loving parents.

52. "THE MAGIC CABIN" (12-30-65)

SYNOPSIS

When Darrin bogs down while creating a new ad campaign, Larry persuades the Stephens to stay at his woodland cabin. Larry hasn't seen the place for a few years and has put it up for sale. The cabin proves to be a shack. Darrin refuses to allow Samantha to use magic to make it habitable but changes his mind when a storm breaks out. Samantha gives the interior a luxurious transformation. Meanwhile, Charles and Alice McBain see Larry's ad. Apprehensively, Larry sends them to inspect the cabin. Arriving while the Stephens are out, the McBains are elated by Samantha's handiwork. Charles phones Larry to purchase the cabin. Darrin and Samantha are upset by their predicament.

Larry, bewildered by the McBain's offer, drives up to the cabin. Samantha immediately switches the interior back to its original state. However, when the McBains enter, Samantha produces a beautiful sight for their view, while Larry, behind them, sees only the dilapidated interior. Larry is puzzled when the McBains insist on buying the cabin. Driving home, the Stephens express satisfaction that the McBains own the cabin, which is so much a product of Samantha's witchcraft. When their car breaks down, Darrin allows Samantha just a little witchcraft to get it going again.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha agrees to hire a maid after Darrin orders her to give up all housework until their child is born. The demands of the first applicants are impossible to meet. Then Naomi Hogan impresses Samantha when she confesses her skill at preparing inedible food and penchant for breaking dishes. Telling Samantha she needs a job to pay for her son's tuition at medical school, Naomi adds she'll sign a note with interest to pay for anything she breaks. Samantha hires her. Unfortunately, the Stephens have invited Larry and Louise Tate to dinner that night. At dinnertime, Samantha finds the kitchen in a shambles. Using magic, Samantha turns the mess into a feast.

As Naomi is about to leave on her day off, Darrin answers Louise Tate's phone call. Louise asks to hire Naomi as a substitute for her maid, who had to leave town, at an important dinner Larry is giving. Naomi goes to the Tates. Learning what has happened, Samantha tells Darrin the Tates must cancel the dinner, or invite the Stephens. Darrin's efforts to have Larry do so fail. Finally, Samantha flits from her home to the Tates, helping Naomi turn another disaster into triumph. The next day, Naomi tells Samantha she is quitting, because sooner or later, she would have to be fired. As Naomi rapidly calculates her breakage, Samantha gets an idea and persuades Darrin to hire Naomi for his firm's accounting department.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha has a baby girl. Trouble begins for Nurse Kelton when Endora names the baby Tabatha against the parents' wishes. When Darrin doubts that the baby will grow up to look like Samantha, Endora proposes to turn the baby into a grown-up, so he can see. Darrin forbids her to do so. Meanwhile, Samantha's cousin, Serena, who resembles Samantha, visits the hospital. Shortly after, Endora carries the baby from the nursery. Darrin sees Serena and feels she resembles someone he knows. Finding the baby missing, Darrin is sure Endora's magic has been at work and Serena is his daughter, grown up. From then on, Darrin tries to return Serena to the nursery, and to get Endora to undo the harm he feels she has done.

Both witches are annoyed by Darrin's behavior. Soon they have Darrin switching from infancy to maturity, finally winding up in a straitjacket. By this time, Nurse Kelton doubts her own sanity. When the baby is returned to Samantha, Darrin convinces Nurse Kelton that his penchant for practical joking is responsible for the strange happenings. Feeling guilty at having accused Endora falsely, Darrin tells her the baby is to be named Tabatha.

55. "MY BABY, THE TYCOON" (1-20-66)

SYNOPSIS

Gladys and Abner Kravitz give Tabatha a share of stock bought through Gladys' cousin, a broker. The stock rises rapidly. Darrin, unsure whether Tabatha inherits Samantha's witchcraft, feels the baby maybe responsible. He puts the stock page in front of her and calling Gladys' cousin, buys a share of stock on which the baby's finger rested. When that stock rises, the broker tells Gladys to try to get some tips from Darrin. Gladys and Abner go to the Stephens' home. Gladys asks Samantha about the stock rise. Jokingly, Samantha tells her that maybe Tabatha gave Darrin a tip. Gladys puts the financial page in front of Tabatha, who pokes a finger at a stock. Later, Abner tells Darrin he sold his holdings and invested them in the stock which then dropped twenty points.

After telling Samantha that Tabatha was responsible for the Kravitzes losing their life savings, Darrin learns that the stock has returned to its original position and that there were logical reasons for the way the stock behaved. He admits it had nothing to do with Tabatha. However, Darrin can't resist having the baby pick a horse for him. Still skeptical, Darrin tells Samantha the horse lost because Tabatha didn't bet on it herself.

56. "SAMANTHA MEETS THE FOLKS" (1-27-66)

SYNOPSIS

Darrin's parents pay their first visit to the Stephens home. Darrin's mother, Phyllis hopes to find that his wife is a poor housekeeper. Soon after, Samantha's Aunt Clara comes down the chimney for an unexpected visit. Darrin is worried about the kind of impression Aunt Clara will make on his parents, but agrees with Samantha that they must make Aunt Clara feel welcome. Determined to help Samantha make a hit with her in-laws, Aunt Clara uses her witchcraft to whip up a feast for dinner. Thinking that Samantha has done the cooking, Phyllis becomes quite upset.

Although Samantha warns him to be tactful, Darrin makes Aunt Clara feel she is not wanted. After Aunt Clara's departure, Samantha gets into an argument with Darrin, during which Phyllis learns that Aunt Clara cooked the dinner. When Samantha admits she is not a good housekeeper, Phyllis, who felt she was being pushed aside, knows she is going to love her daughter-in-law. Darrin persuades Aunt Clara to return and the evening ends happily for all.

SYNOPSIS

Joe Kovack makes a play for Samantha in a restaurant. Darrin rushes to her defense. Realizing Darrin faces certain slaughter, Samantha twitches her nose, and Joe falls K.O.'s to the floor. Since Joe is Number One contender for the heavyweight title, newspapers hail Darrin as a coming champ. Darrin pleads with Samantha to let him fight his own battles. Then Joe and his Manager, trying to regain a crack at a lucrative championship bout, approach Darrin with a plan for a make-believe bout in which Joe pretends to knock Darrin out. Again, Darrin with the uncalled-on help of Samantha K.O.'s Joe.

Finally, Darrin runs into Tommy Carter, the champ himself. An unplanned for scuffle takes place. Tommy trips and knocks himself out. Later, Larry Tate tells Darrin he has solved the problem by hiring Tommy. Tommy's first assignment is to fight a four-round bout for charity. Darrin quakes at learning that Tommy is to choose his opponent. However, he sadly concludes that with Samantha insisting on being his second, he can't help winning again.

58. "THE DANCING BEAR" (2-10-66)

SYNOPSIS

Darrin's parents, Frank and Phyllis Stephens, come to see Tabatha. Learning Endora will also be there, Darrin makes her swear there is nothing funny about the toy bear she has brought for the baby. Endora and Mrs. Stephens take an immediate dislike to each other. Mrs. Stephens has brought a toy identical to Endora's. Endora uses witchcraft to make her bear dance. Tabatha falls in love with the dancing bear and refuses the other. Mr. Stephens sees a fortune to be made in the dancing bears. Darrin, knowing the bear performs through magic, tries to distract his father, but fails. Mrs. Stephens, still hoping to one up Endora, buys a toy tiger.

Mr. Stephens arrives with Mr. Hockstedder, a toy manufacturer, who wants to buy a large quantity of the dancing bears. Then Samantha declares she doesn't want the toys to be mass produced because she feels Tabatha should have a unique toy. When Mrs. Stephens and Endora back her up, Hockstedder decides they are all mad. When Tabatha stays up watching her toys, Samantha sets them dancing to a lullaby. Soon Tabatha and Darrin are both fast asleep.

SYNOPSIS

For his birthday, Endora decides to make three of Darrin's wishes come true. Unaware of the gift, Darrin gets immediate elevator service in his office building and then sees a bikini clad beauty. An important client, Randolph Turgeon, insists on seeing Larry Tate, who is in Chicago. Wishing he were Larry for just one day, Darrin immediately turns into his boss. Turgeon introduces Darrin-Larry to his niece, Joyce, who wants a job with the agency. Louise Tate, who thinks her husband is with another woman, slaps her face, and makes him come home. Darrin phones Samantha for help. She arrives immediately, but is unable to remove the spell. Just as Samantha is telling Darrin-Larry the spell will be over in fifteen minutes, Larry himself walks in.

Hoping to keep the confusion from getting worse, Samantha puts Louise to sleep, and tells Larry his wife has been sleep-walking. Safe at home, Samantha tells Darrin Louise will feel she dreamed the whole episode. She asks Darrin what his first two wishes were. He mentions the elevator but decides to forget the girl in the bikini.

Samantha tries unsuccessfully to make her own dress for an affair at the home of an agency client, J.T. Glendon. Whisking Samantha to Paris, Endora takes her to the showroom of Aubert, a couturier who has failed in his attempts to break into the American market. Back home Samantha uses magic to duplicate an Aubert original. Doris, J.T.'s wife admires the dress. Suddenly, Samantha finds herself committed to making dresses for Doris, J.T.'s sister, Ethel, and Gladys Kravitz. Darrin reveals J.T.'s party is a preview of original creations by his new client, Aubert. Samantha is stunning but the other three women look awful in their creations.

Aubert faints when he sees the women wearing his "originals." Later, Darrin tells Samantha that Aubert, certain he has been double-crossed, is suing the agency. Samantha convinces Aubert that he has failed in the American market because he hasn't created dresses for women like Doris and Gladys. With Aubert designing, Samantha finishes dresses for another show in which even Gladys is a standout.

61. "THE HORSE'S MOUTH" (3-3-66)

SYNOPSIS

A horse named Dalleyrand escapes from the horse trailer of Jack Spindler, in front of the Stephens home. Unable to talk to the horse, Samantha turns her into a woman named Dolly. Dolly tells Samantha she has been forced to set a fast pace and tire the horses out so her sister, Adorable Diane can win. Samantha invites Dolly to rest up at the Stephens home. Darrin arrives with Gus Walters, who needs money to market a new invention. Dolly suggests they go to the track where she can make money for him by picking winners. Samantha shocks Darrin when she tells him Gus can't lose because Dolly really is a racehorse. Meanwhile, Dolly reveals that her ambition is to win one race herself.

At the track, Gus wins on one of Dolly's tips and loses on another. Then Dolly, still an attractive woman, learns from her trainer that Adorable Diane has been scratched. Samantha returns Dolly back to her former state. Although Gus hasn't won a race in years, they persuade him to put his money on the horse. Coming from behind, Dalleyrand wins the race and Gus gets the money for his invention.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha has a lunch date with Darrin and an important client. She can't get a baby sitter and knows Darrin doesn't want Endora to be alone with Tabatha. Endora, promising not to use any magic, insists on staying with Tabatha and Samantha leaves. Gladys Kravitz comes over with her nephew Edgar, a baby about Tabatha's age. Annoyed by Gladys' bragging how smart Edgar is, Endora uses magic to make Tabatha talk. Later Endora leaves the house after an argument with Darrin about the incident. Meanwhile Gladys spreads the story and reporters come to the house to interview Tabatha. Tabatha, the talking infant becomes world famous.

Samantha calls on her mother for help. Endora poses as a ventriloquist whose specialty is baby voices. Before the assembled reporters, Gladys insists that Tabatha did talk. To prove her powers, Endora makes Gladys speak in a baby voice. The newsmen agree to print retractions of the original story. Although Darrin refuses to make up with Endora, he changes his mind when be finds himself talking like a baby.

63. "THE LEPRECHAUN" (3-17-66)

SYNOPSIS

Darrin reacts violently when he finds Brian O'Brian, a sprightly leprechaun, a guest in his home. Samantha tells him that Brian is not her relative but the leprechaun of Darrin's family. Brian reveals he has come to recover his pot of gold which was hidden in a fireplace brought to America by James Dennis Robinson. Darrin finds that Robinson owns a company whose account would be a great asset to Darrin's agency. Brian breaks into Robinson's house to retrieve the gold and is arrested. Darrin allows Samantha to use her magic to get Brian out of jail.

Brian pleads with Samantha to help him recover his pot of gold which will restore his lost powers. Pledging Brian never to tell Darrin, Samantha returns with him to the Robinson's house. Robinson finds them in his study and reveals he has already removed the pot from the fireplace. Samantha is surprised when Robinson tells her he believes the leprechaun's story because his grandfather was a Mahoney, and returns Brian's pot of gold. Brian agrees to allow Robinson to use his picture as a trade mark if Robinson turns his advertising over to Darrin.

Darrin asks Samantha to play up to the daughter of J. Kabaker, an important client. Samantha tries to be nice but the girl is a nasty snob. Unable to take any more, Samantha twitches her nose and a canapé hits the girl in the face. At home, the Stephens get into an argument about the incident. However, at the office the next day, when Larry criticizes Samantha, Darrin quits his job. He tells Samantha he has another job lined up at Ames Advertising. Samantha and Louise Tate decide to bring Larry and Darrin together again, and feel the best way to do this is to give them a common enemy.

Samantha makes sure Darrin doesn't get the other job. Then, following Samantha's plan, both wives start arguments with their husbands. Darrin and Larry head for their club, where Samantha arranges for them to share the same room. Both men confess they have acted foolishly and go home. Samantha admits she used magic to bring about the happy reunions but Darrin tells her he couldn't care less.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin is assigned to publicize Osgood Rightmire, who makes a career of debunking witchcraft. The Stephens attend a lecture given by Osgood with Louise and Larry Tate. When Rightmire dramatically offers himself as a target for any witch, Samantha twitches her nose. Rightmire trips, setting off a series of mishaps. Rightmire pronounces an incantation which he asserts would cause any witch to disappear, if there were such things. From then on, Samantha keeps popping in and out involuntarily. When Endora is called in for help, she tells Darrin he must get the original spell. Meanwhile, Osgood is dating Beverly Wilson, a beautiful blonde.

Endora puts a hex on Rightmire's car, forcing it to come to the Stephens house. There Endora and Samantha try frantically to get Osgood to repeat the spell. Then Endora discovers that Osgood's power comes from his ancient ring. Endora manages to get it away from him. Samantha twitches her nose, producing a duplicate ring, which she gives to Osgood. With the original ring, Endora and Samantha overcome Osgood's spell.

SYNOPSIS

Harriet, Abner's sister, is keeping house for him while Gladys is away. She finds that Gladys' stories of Samantha's unusual activities are true. Meanwhile Darrin is winding up a deal to handle advertising for the Robbins Baby Food Company. Mr. Robbins, the president, agrees with his assistant, George Barkley, that the final decision should be deferred. Believing that anyone working on their account should be completely wholesome, Barkley, on his own, has hired Charlie Leach, a private detective, to shadow Darrin. On a report that Darrin has an exemplary character, Barkley orders Leach to investigate Samantha.

Leach is dubious of Harriet's report on Samantha. When he investigates further, a series of wild events occur as Samantha parries his snooping. Charlie finally finds himself on a ledge forty stories up. After Leach's implausible story, Barkley fires him. Charmaine, Leach's wife, has long complained of their meager existence. Hearing about Samantha, she suggests that Charlie get Samantha to provide them with the luxuries they have been missing. Leach then tells Samantha that unless she makes him wealthy he will expose her as a witch.

SYNOPSIS

George Barkley, assistant to the president of the Robbins Baby Food Company, has hired Charlie Leach to check on Samantha. Discovering Samantha is a witch, Leach threatens to expose her unless she makes him a rich man.

Learning that Leach's report can cost Darrin the account, Samantha produces a new car for Leach and transforms his sleazy apartment into a luxurious home. Darrin is furious when he learns what Leach has been up to. He decides to tell Robbins and Barkley his company doesn't want their account. He goes to the meeting with Samantha. There Samantha twitches her nose and forces Barkley to admit he wants to take over his boss' job. Robbins fires him and signs a contract with Darrin.

Darrin gives Samantha permission to use her witchcraft to teach Leach a lesson. Making herself invisible, Samantha goes to Leach's apartment. A series of Samantha's twitches turns the place into a shambles, and Leach's automobile into a kiddie car. Later, Leach tries to blackmail Samantha again. She turns him into a bullfighter, facing an enraged bull. He manages to escape, but vows to visit Samantha again if he ever gets home from Mexico.

The Stephens' long deferred vacation is postponed once more when Larry Tate pleads with Darrin to work on an important campaign for the Stern Chemical Company. Always critical of her son-in-law, Endora splits Darrin into identical twins: #1, hardworking Darrin, and #2, the epitome of his fun-loving side. Endora then convinces Samantha that at least one half of Darrin deserves a vacation. Telling Darrin #1 she is going on vacation with her mother, Samantha leaves for Miami with Darrin #2. At the office, Darrin #1 staggers Larry and company president Sanford Stern with his capacity for hard concentrated work. Meanwhile in Miami, Darrin #2 worries Samantha with his overwhelming exuberance and irresponsibility.

Samantha tells Endora she wants the man she married back. Samantha, Endora and Darrin #2 return home where problems arise when the two Darrins confront each other. Samantha finally unites the two sides of Darrin again. Darrin decides that Samantha, Tabatha, his workaday self and his fun-loving self should spend their vacation at home.

Leaving for the office, Darrin reminds Samantha that his eccentric Uncle Albert is arriving that day. Meanwhile, Horace and William, two vaudevillians turned con artists, are prowling the neighborhood. Horace comes to the Stephens' door and Samantha welcomes him as Uncle Albert. When the real Uncle Albert arrives, Horace tells him the Stephens have moved. Touched by Samantha's kindness, Horace tells William he doesn't want to go through with their plan to rob the house. Later, Horace pockets Harriet Kravitz's watch. He is seen by Samantha, who uses magic to return the watch to Harriet. Samantha is shocked when she finds a picture of Uncle Albert and realizes Horace is an impostor. However, when Darrin comes home, she persuades him to accept Horace as his uncle for that night.

Later William and Horace pile the Stephens' household goods on a truck. The Stephens come downstairs to find their living room bare. Then Horace decides to come back, especially when he finds evidence that the Stephens knew he wasn't Uncle Albert. Samantha uses magic to make William return the stolen articles. Moved by Horace's confession, Samantha persuades the two ex-vaudevillians to return to show business.

Darrin arrives home with a shaggy brown dog. Samantha discovers the dog is really Rodney. Samantha's statement that her marriage is based on mutual trust inspires Rodney with a plan to break up the Stephens marriage. When Harriet Kravitz comes to the Stephens house, Rodney makes her believe that he is a close friend of Samantha, who is entertaining him while Darrin is away. Harriet tells Darrin of the incident. Samantha, completely in the dark, tells Darrin it never happened.

Darrin becomes angry when Samantha tells him the dog is the cause of their problems. However, believing Samantha, Darrin traps Rodney, when he assumes his normal form. Rodney's mother takes her son home. Darrin and Samantha begin their delayed celebration. Darrin gasps after a heavy swig of liquor. Using witchcraft, Samantha produces a glass of water. Darrin declares she has broken her promise. Shrugging, Samantha tells Darrin there is always next month.

SYNOPSIS

Samantha derides Endora's statement that Darrin gives evidence of interest in another woman. Meanwhile, Charlie Leach, an unscrupulous private eye, discovers Endora and Samantha are both witches. He tells Charmaine, his wife, that he is going to cash in on his find. Samantha and Endora see Darrin with Toni Devlin, an attractive client. Samantha insists it is a business lunch. However, when Toni comes to the Stephens home to discuss some ad changes with Darrin, Endora turns her into a cat. Leach steals the cat and tells Samantha he will return it if Samantha produces a million dollars for him. Samantha gives Leach a money tree. After pocketing the bills growing on its branches, Leach takes the tree home to prove Samantha's claim that it will bloom every twenty four hours.

After Charlie gets home, Samantha turns him into a mouse. When the cat starts chasing him, Charlie calls Samantha for help and agrees to return the cat. Samantha, after a worldwide search, locates Endora in Tibet. Endora turns Toni back to normal in time for an important meeting at Darrin's office. Leach finds the tree doesn't grow money and that the bills in his wallet have turned into leaves. He vows to get even with Samantha.

72. "WHAT EVERY YOUNG MAN SHOULD KNOW" (5-26-66)

SYNOPSIS

Samantha and Darrin feel he might not have married her if he knew she was a witch. With Samantha's permission Endora sends husband and wife back into the past. Darrin at first runs away when Samantha proves she is a witch. When Darrin persuades her she hasn't seen the true picture, Samantha makes Endora continue the experiment. Learning that Samantha's powers could make his company the most successful in the country, Larry Tate is all in favor of the marriage. Samantha believes Darrin plans to marry her to further his career.

Holding Endora responsible for the problems created by the test, Darrin insists Samantha must give up witchcraft when she becomes his wife. Endora tires to make Darrin disappear, but he convinces Samantha that witch or no witch, he has always loved her. Samantha is happy because Endora proved Darrin's love. Darrin asks Samantha to return to the past to reveal what his life would have been like if he had married the girl he proposed to in the third grade.

SYNOPSIS

Darrin feels he isn't making any progress in his career. He tells Samantha that Larry Tate has refused to allow him to handle Waterhouse and Co., an important new account. However, when Tate announces that Darrin will handle the account, Darrin feels Samantha used magic on Larry. Darrin berates Samantha and determines to lose the account. When Mr. Waterhouse, a conservative tycoon arrives, Darrin adopts a breezy, wise cracking approach. Darrin is surprised when Waterhouse declares Darrin's fresh touch is just what his product needs. Defeated, Darrin decides to make the most of Samantha's help. Confident of the power behind him, Darrin makes a series of guesses that prove to be correct.

Furious when she learns Darrin feels his new found success stems from her witchcraft, Samantha turns her home into an elegant mansion with a staff of servants. Darrin asserts he can't live in this manner and wants to get along by his own ability. Samantha convinces him he has been doing so all along. She twitches her nose and the luxurious decor disappears. However, Darrin wonders, if for a little while, he himself had the magic touch.

SYNOPSIS

The Stephens are invited to the Kravitz home to meet Louis Gruber, Gladys' brother. Twenty six years before, at the age of eight, when Louis made his debut as a violinist at Carnegie Hall, his knickers fell down. Since then, Louis has shunned playing in public. Abner claims he is just a moocher. When Louis suddenly begins to play, Samantha and Darrin realize he is a brilliant musician. Samantha arranges for him to play at a hospital benefit. Louis faints when he hears what Samantha has done.

Samantha uses all her magic to keep Louis going. When he deliberately drops the window on his hands, he is amazed to find he is not injured. He succeeds in destroying his violin but Samantha twitches, and produces a Stradivarius. Then Samantha thwarts all of Louis' attempts to leave town. Unaware that Samantha's magic is responsible, Louis performs beautifully at the benefit and is signed up for TV. Later, as the Stephens and the Kravtizes watch, Louis once more loses his pants, this time before a coast to coast audience.
